Details of some thermal camera cores are provided below:
1. Boson : The Boson longwave infrared (LWIR) thermal camera module sets the standard for size, weight, power, and performance (SWaP). Boson enables applications from firefighting to unmanned aerial vehicles and automotive development kits. Radiometric versions are also available with temperature measurement configurations.
2.Neutrino SWaP Series: This is best in class for MWIR imagery and data in a small lightweight package. SWaP series camera modules are designed for ruggedized products requiring long life, low-power consumption, and quiet, low-vibration operation. Ideal for small gimbals and airframes, handheld devices, security cameras, targeting devices, and asset monitoring applications.
3.TAU-2: This offers an unmatched set of features, making them well-suited for demanding applications like Unmanned Airborne Vehicles (UAVs), thermal sights, and handheld imagers. Tau 2's expanded capability ensures accurate temperature measurement for radiometry, analytics and telemetry.
4. PathFindIR II: also known as Driver Vision Enhancement System. is a powerful thermal night vision system that helps you clearly see road hazards in total darkness, and it will alert you to nearby vehicles, people, and animals. PathFindIR II detects heat without a need for light, allowing you to see up to four times farther down the road. You’ll have visibility through dust, smoke, or fog, and better capability to avoid an accident.
Some other Flir OEM cores/cameras include FLIR ADK, FLIR Hadron, FLIR Due pro R and Vue Pro R etc. FLIR has products that are specially designed for UAVs and other airborne applications. These range from small thermal imaging cores weighing a few tens of grams to large complete systems which can be installed on helicopters /large UAVs and are used for monitoring activities up to tens of kilometres away.
